I pushed really hard this past weekend and actually met a single goal - to get everything out of the notebook and logged into the manuscript.
The main fic is up to 21,000+ words now. Still have lots of things to do to it, add to it, beat into it. Have a lot of stuff written on the hardcopy manuscript to transcribe. Figure this one is going to be a while before being birthed.
Worked on the a/u myth fic the first few days then realized I needed to meet my notebook goal and worked on that instead.
Now have two new fics started on the laptop, both of them ideas I have had on the back burner for a while and they finally started sprouting a bit. One is my take on the real Ryuichi and one is about an 'interesting' type of Japanese costume *evil grin*. I cannot work on them for long because the keyboard does get to me and my poor gimpy hands.
looking around
Joules, the dig was just too cool! We don't have anything like that around here, not enough history to even throw a stick at!
And those Chinese lessons, what a hoot!
Talon, you are looking GOOD! Even with a food-covered chibi on your lap, heheh! Your tale about Rhys' headstone is amazing. And the final product is so beautiful! What a special and one-of-a-kind tribute!
A'lestrel, if Noah would have left the ham-hams behind what would our house special be at the Tree?
Happy birthday to your cubs, Lutra! Sounds like a lot of fun is happening at your house! Wish we could join in!
feeling down
rat has to work three days a week, 12 hours a day, 6am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. First day was last Friday. I missed him SO much Friday and Saturday. I would be doing something or watching something and I am so used to turning to him and sharing it immediately with him, and he was not there. Yeah, I am really dependent at times. When I went out Friday I just told myself it was time for me to become independent again like I had been for so many years and just go do what I needed to do. I know I HAVE to make this sacrifice right now, just hoping the dream job will happen for him and he will be on first shift.
He packs boxes of tapes and DVDs to send to Blockbuster stores. He is the one who 'builds' those special cases with the Blockbuster labels inside so that is what you take home, not the actual 'jewelcase' of the product. He might have to pack 31 copies of one title to go to one store.
The interesting thing is he has to be at work at 5:45am at the very latest or he is marked off as not being there. I am hoping this will help cure his chronic tardiness.
I ended up staying awake all night Thursday-Friday and Friday-Saturday for some reason, sitting at the computer as rat stumbled out of bed at 4:30am to shower and get ready for work. I definitely will NOT do this now that I am back to work.
I am still feeling quite exhausted and it did not help matters I had to go back to work today. It was pretty slow but we had to chase four people out of the lab because they were not multimedia students. It is going to get worse when the library and the main drop-in lab in the computer building are shut down after the July 3rd and won't open again until late August.
Enough about work and whining about when rat is not around. I am off to do some more writing.
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
